First timer on your site and I find it very informative. Am interested in starting a business in the sale of paint in Ghana, my home country and looking for best deals I can find. Any help? Thanks in advance.
I use this a lot when I have to paint. My favorite is Benjamin Moore paints as they are by far the best quality but are very expensive, except their mustiness which are $10, even for their $74/can AQUA which is AWESOME paint. On one occasion, while painting my whole basement in an off-white /light beige Colour, I bought 5 cans of AQUA that were all very similar in Colour, placed them ALL in a 5 gallon pail, stirred them up together and had enough of what is now the same coloured paint to do everything. I was so proud of myself for thinking of that. Nearly $400 of paint for $50.
Hi Denise. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am also curious about Loop Paint. It has been almost 2 years since you tried it. Did you try painting walls with it ? If you did , how does it look now ? Does it have any problem. Because it might look good when you paint with it but I wonder if it stays good for few years.
No. But it's highly recommended if you're changing a color from dark to something lighter. The primer adds a solid coat for the new paint application to adhere to and may result in needing fewer coats than painting over a surface without priming it first. Some products we've looked at in this roundup purport to be a combination primer and paint. But even their manufacturers recommend a primer coat in some instances. If you're changing colors from dark to light, we strongly recommend that you apply an actual coat of real primer."}},{"@type": "Question","name": "Which interior paint lasts the longest?","acceptedAnswer": {"@type": "Answer","text": "Generally speaking, the longest-lasting interior paints resist scuffs, scratches, stains, and moisture damage. The Meguiar's Scratch Eraser Kit is our choice for the best overall, thanks to its effectiveness, ease of use, and speed. The downside? You need a drill for the scratch eraser pad. But if you have a drill in your toolbox, this is the kit to get.
For folks looking for the best results, regardless of the amount of time and effort required, this kit from Turtle Wax is our pick. The Turtle Wax kit produced the best outcome, albeit after a handful of steps that other scratch removers don't require.
Application is simply a wet-sanding process, wherein you use sandpaper of various grits and spray lubricant to smooth out the clear coat. Then you apply the paint-clarifying compound with a microfiber cloth to clean everything up. This definitely requires some care and elbow grease, but the results proved to be the best of the bunch.
While this scratch remover is cheap, it's just not worth the extra time. Snag a bottle of the Formula 1 Scratch Out for a budget-friendly option, or buy one of the kits we recommend for the best results.
To date, Benjamin Moore boasts more than 3,500 paint color options. This comes as a shock to most property owners who would have difficulty naming only a fraction of them. The good news is that when our customers have an extremely particular opinion on colors, Benjamin Moore can step up and satisfy them.
There is also a bit of panache that goes with choosing Benjamin Moore. Not only do our clients have peace of mind when they make this choice, they also get the opportunity to impress anyone who asks which brand they chose. Finally, Benjamin Moore paint is easy to apply, which can save on labor costs. It is also spatter resistant, which means cleanup is easier.
Paint differs in more than just color; some are made for exterior uses and others for interior surfaces. They also differ in luster (finish) and texture. Some are more expensive than others, which can also influence choice. There are actually several factors that make one paint wildly different from another.
For consumers who want to help the environment as much as they can, Eco Spec is a go-to product. Some paints are known for off putting volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), but with Eco Spec, you have no VOCs at all.
A high-quality paint that appeals to those with discerning tastes and a flexible budget, Aura is a natural choice. The most expensive in the line of Benjamin Moore paints, this one is a thick, self-priming paint that is treated with a mildew resident compound, which makes it a great option for interior areas painting that encounter moisture.
This paint and primer combo is low to zero VOC and is engineered with the Gennex color technology. The finish is durable but smooth. Popular in interior painting projects in break rooms, eateries and pubs, this option is available in 3,000 colors and comes in flat, eggshell and semi-gloss finish.
Another zero-VOC paint is Ultra Spec 500. This is a popular option among property managers who want a consistent paint that cleans up easily with soap and water, comes in virtually unlimited colors and is a cinch to touch up after wear in high traffic areas. 781b155fdc
