The Board of Trustees has expressed its support for the college's role in higher education, and it enthusiastically welcomes the opportunities it is providing for faculty and staff enrichment activities and opportunities for students to explore career options and complete their education and certification requirements.
A modest increase in tuition to help offset the developmental costs of the new initiative is requested in the budget. Board of Trustees members who voted to transfer $173,000 from the College of Agriculture, $96,000 from the College of Engineering and Technology, and $60,000 from the College of Business for developmental costs related to PEP
Distribution of the $173,000 that will be transferred from the College of Agriculture to the College of Arts and Sciences will enable the college to participate in the PEP initiative. The rest of the developmental funds will be used for downsizing staff and faculty positions in the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and the College of Engineering and Technology.

This position has been a member of the school's Curriculum Committee (comprised of the PTA President, two teachers in the English Department and one from the Visual Arts department), the Peer Learning Assistance Committee, and the faculty Personnel Committee.
Students have the opportunity to take six credits of English, six credits of Science and one other credit of choice per year through the Art Conservation minor. Students are able to take six credits of english coursework and six credits of science coursework per year through the Arts and Science major.
