Threats to U.S. National Security and the Homeland. Over the years, TOC has repeatedly demonstrated that it will target the United States in order to achieve its strategic objectives at little cost to itself. TOC has also made it clear that it will use the United States as a proxy for its stated strategic objectives. TOC's stated strategic objectives include countering the military and economic strength of the United States; harming the United States through the use of coercion, subversion, and exploitation; and gaining leverage over China's friends and allies by deepening divisions within the international community. The strategic objectives of TOC are likely to include efforts to gain control of critical infrastructure, including power transmission and distribution grids and gas pipelines, critical minerals and commodities, and transportation and ports that operate within the United States.
The Department of State is working with U.S. firms to increase U.S. awareness of TOC activities through public education and awareness. State officials also engage with Chinese counterparts on the issue. The Obama administration has also passed targeted sanctions against TOC activities that harm U.S. firms and U.S. citizens.
The U.S. government has taken several steps to respond to TOC's threat to U.S. economic interests and to the competitiveness of U.S. firms. The 2010 National Defense Authorization Act directed the Secretary of Defense to issue a report that assesses the risks to the United States posed by TOC and the extent to which the United States is capable of responding to those risks. The report is due by March 31, 2011. The Chinese government's systematic targeting of U.S. firms such as Foxconn has been well-documented, but the U.S. government remains unaware of TOC's tactics against U.S. companies.
ICE has also entered into joint ventures with other companies to expand its operations in China. The most widely known is its deal in June 2016 with Tianjin Dabeinong, a state-owned vehicle listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, to run interbank aluminum derivatives trading there. The two companies still own only a majority stake in the joint venture, however.
1. EA/Maxis refuse to support or even acknowledge the existence of mods for the Sims 3. There is no mod portal, no support for custom content, no support for creating custom content. If you want to mod a game that you bought, you'll have to know how to do it yourself.
I downloaded the base game, and I want to install custom content into it (mods). I already have several mods installed (mods) and I would like to add more to the game. To add the mods into the game, I download them from http://www.sims3mods.com/. I then extract the files into the Mods folder in the base game installation folder. The mods I add can be found here: http://www.sims3mods.com/wiki/Mod_List. So, now that I have the mods extracted and into the Mods folder, I need to add them into the base game of The Sims 3. The mods have to be placed into the Mods folder in the base game installation folder. If they are not placed in the Mods folder, they will not be available for the game. 827ec27edc
